... a 5-star home cooking experience... in Hawaii, they call it "Okazu-ya"... make sure you check out the "Specials" board... Great food, GREAT prices, and a FULL array of "local-kine grinds"... Every time I go, I try different things and have yet to find anything that didn't take me back to the old-style, everything home-made kinda place I grew up on.
The people are full of the ALOHA I remember too...
If you like the "authentic Hawaiian plate-lunch/lunch wagon" cuisine... (or you just like the "Hawaiian-Style" menus that have been popular of late) take the time to find this place!... it will be WELL worth it... (fo' REAL...) -

We tried a number of dishes. I really like to patronize local aloha. The dishes seem to be a little small compared to the pictures. Had good flavor and a lot of variety.
Bento box with a little small and the saimin did not look like the picture.
Overall okay -

If you are constantly looking for Hawaiian Style Plate lunches like I am , it's really nice to enter a establishment when the first words uttered is " Howzit ....... " My immediate thought when I hear that word is ok I'm in the right place...... I was born in Hawaii and Hawaiian Plate lunches are a huge part of my diet...... I booked mark this restaurant in my mind after reading a review from a Yelp friend in Las Vegas that is from Hawaii Debrah D Las Vegas , She gave this place a thumbs up so I wanted to check this restaurant out. I also noticed this restaurant is located right next to the airport. I wanted to get a Bento Box and Musubi to go, for my wait at the airport. Airport food is usually expensive and I would rather pick something up before I get there. This place is perfectly located for me when I am leaving via airplane....The restaurant itself isn't a fancy place but it's a place I can imagine in Hawaii , the people and food are local...... If in the mood for this type of cuisine check it out.....The customer service at this restaurant is EXCELLENT......

Mood- Hawaiian food
Ive seen this place and heard many great things about it. So decided today it was a must
It is right by the airport in a set of buildings that you would not even realize a restaurant would be there. Don't think about it, just go there and experience true island food. You'll be glad you did.
That being said, upon entering we were quickly greeted and told of the specials. You order your food at the counter, then you find seating. Your food is brought out to you.
We got the 9th island breakfast, and chicken teriyaki. Wow neither did not disappoint at all. It really reminded me of the big island.
I will def be back for their furikake fries. They even have POG flavoring for their shaved ice.
Interior is table seating. Nice laid back vibe, very casual. Good hawaiian music was playing. I was truly in my happy place.
Prices are very reasonable, portions were decent.
Location is Tropicana/ Paradise- ample parking -

Cool hole in the wall place that offers HI style shave ice too. They got that mix and match furniture and decor that makes you feel right at home lol.
Looks like they have a small boutique connected to one side of the store, I didn't check it out since I wasn't there to shop.
The garlic chicken wasn't what we were expecting, but it was still yummy. Portion sizes were ok for the price, not the biggest I've seen.
I will probably be back for the furikake fries, squid luau, and custard pie.
You'd have to really not mind the way the place looks to appreciate the food.
Restroom is separate from the establishment.
